GLP-1 receptor agonists are a class of glucose-lowering drugs like Ozempic.
Sample: 821 subjects.
Some subjects had taken glucose-lowering drugs before, and some were taking them at the time of the study. Participants underwent assessments of impulsivity, alcohol use, and whether they had committed violent acts over the past year (hit people, got into fights, robbed someone).
Shown: people who stopped taking glucose-lowering drugs showed significantly higher scores on impulsivity and alcohol use, which correlates with a propensity for violent acts. People taking glucose-lowering drugs at the time of the study are less impulsive and less prone to alcohol use, which is associated with a lower propensity for violent acts. It is not yet a matter of using Ozempic to treat antisocial behavior. The data are based on surveys.
Like if you believe that thin people are less prone to crime!
