Who trusts AI more - women or men?
Sample: 3 049 participants from the US and Canada.
Participants completed a risk propensity assessment (would you take $1,000 or have a 50% chance of receiving $2,000), evaluated the riskiness of implementing AI, and took part in a study assessing various scenarios of AI integration into company workflows.
Shown: women are more likely than men to perceive AI as risky. It was found that as the likelihood of AI having a positive impact on workflows decreases, women’s support for AI drops more sharply than men’s. Women are more likely to be uncertain about the benefits of AI and consider it of little use. A likely reason for this effect is that women have higher risk aversion overall. The observed associations are not strong.
