Participants read and evaluated political messages. The text was accompanied by a note that it was created by an expert specially trained on this political topic, or by an AI specially trained on this political topic, or there was no note. Examples of messages - "Drug imports threaten the domestic pharmaceutical industry," "Student-athletes should be paid a salary," "Social networks should be held responsible for harmful content posted by users.".

Shown: messages were rated as generally persuasive and increased support for the ideas by 9.74%. The note about an expert or AI, as well as its absence, did not affect the evaluations of the messages. At the same time, 92% of respondents indicated that they believed the authorship note. The only group that more often reacted negatively to the AI note was older people.
